Kate Awtrey-King is the President, CEO and Creative Director of Awtrey Media Group, where she leads businesses through the complex world of modern marketing. She partners with organizations that want more than visuals, they want a leader who can bring strategy, creativity and execution together to drive results.
Kate began her career at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in the online sports department, working as a web and graphic designer before pursuing her degree at the Savannah College of Art and Design. From there, she built her career as an award-winning photographer, trusted by major organizations and events to capture history-making moments, from the President and Vice President of the United States to the Atlanta Braves winning the 2021 World Series. She has also served as the house photographer for the Gas South District Arena since 2012, photographing icons like Cher, Dolly Parton, Eric Clapton, James Taylor and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In addition to her creative career, Kate is a published author of Norcross: Then & Now, a work that highlights her passion for storytelling and preserving history.
Today, Kate leverages that same creative vision and discipline in consulting roles helping companies clarify their brand, build their strategy and run their marketing with confidence. From executive leadership teams to growing businesses, her work focuses on aligning visuals, messaging and campaigns so they drive measurable results.
I’ve always loved telling stories through words, photos and design. One of the proudest moments of my career was having the privilege of photographing the President of the United States, an experience few people ever have. I love documenting history and creating visual stories that capture moments in time. At Awtrey Media Group, I bring together everything I’ve learned throughout my career to help businesses define and share their brand story. Today I lead the company as CEO and creative director, partnering with organizations that want a marketing team that feels like their own.
