His animation work spans a wide range of industries, including clients in the food marketplace and the tabletop gaming industry. One of his standout creations, the animated series Swampy and Fangs, has gained a loyal following among both children and adults on the popular social media platform TikTok.

His work has helped clients of all sizes capture pivotal moments and translate them into compelling visual media that inspires connection, strengthens brand identity, and drives results.
Away from work, John enjoys traveling and fine dining with his wife, Stephanie, and spending time with their Siberian husky, Bogie. A lifelong film enthusiast, he is developing a podcast that blends his love of cinema with behind-the-scenes storytelling, featuring audio documentaries and conversations with actors, writers and filmmakers.
I’ve built my career by leading productions that demand precision, creativity and calm under pressure. I’ve traveled across the United States to cover live events, coordinate crews and make sure every detail comes together exactly as planned. Along the way I’ve photographed musical legend Hans Zimmer, met astronaut Scott Tingle and even sprinted up the Rocky steps in Philadelphia while on assignment, moments that remind me why I love this work.
Beyond the road, I’ve partnered with organizations of every size—startups, nonprofits and Fortune 500 brands—to tell stories that resonate. No matter the industry, I focus on visual media that inspires connection, strengthens brand identity and drives results. Today at Awtrey Media Group, I bring that same standard of leadership and craft to clients who want a trusted creative partner they can count on.
